Eligibility
All active, regular full-time employees scheduled to work 30 hours or more per week are eligible to enroll in the benefits program.
Eligible Dependents
When you enroll yourself in medical, dental, and/or vision coverage, you may also cover your eligible dependents, including:
- Your legal spouse or qualified domestic partner (see below for important information on adding a domestic partner).
- Children under the age of 26, regardless of student, dependency or marital status.
- Children who are past the age of 26 and are fully dependent on you for support due to a mental or physical disability and who are indicated as such on your federal tax return.
Domestic Partner Coverage
If you are adding a domestic partner, you will need to complete the Domestic Partnership Affidavit. Adding a domestic partner will increase the amount of taxes that are withheld from your pay each pay period. Your domestic partner’s portion of the medical, dental, and vision premium is taxable to you. Golden Touch’s portion of the domestic partner’s medical, vision, and dental premium is taxable income for you and referred to as imputed income. The amount of taxes withheld is based on your tax rate.
